Coach Williard is an Alumni of Otterbein University and participated on the Cardinals Cross Country and Track Team as a distance runner. He achieved Academic All-American in Cross Country in 2013.

In High School he was named 1st Team All-Ohio in Football and placed 6th in the state in Wrestling.
